Community, Healthcare and Legal Interpreting
Delaware Law School’s Community, Healthcare and Legal Interpreter Training will help participants develop the necessary skills to become a qualified interpreter in the field.
The Community, Healthcare, and Legal Interpreter program is a 49-hour course divided into two parts. The first part provides the prerequisite for the national medical interpreting certification and it is a 40-hour quality program based on The Community Interpreter® program for community and healthcare interpreters. The second part is 9 hours of legal interpreting concentrating on the code of ethics, protocols, and standards of the court interpreter.
This is an interactive, skill-based program. The sessions ground you in what you need to know to work as a professional interpreter. The focus is on medical, school, and government or nonprofit service settings. With this program, you will purchase and use the most comprehensive textbook and workbook in the field.

CERTIFICATION: Upon successful completion of the program, students are awarded The Marjorie Bancroft official Community Interpretation Cross-Cultural Communications Certification
