A paralegal that specializes in health law can assist lawyers on legal matters involving the representation of a health care company or a physician or dentist's office, or can also assist in legal matters resulting from injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice claims, slip and fall incidents, or other personal injuries. Nurses may find the general paralegal certificate with a concentration in health law of particular interest. A clinical nursing background provides the paralegal with the ability to assist the attorney with reviewing medical records, identifying treatments the client received, constructing medical chronologies, and more.
